untitled design - CMS Downs Carpets & BedsWe wanted to showcase a few of the leading carpet brands and what makes them special. Associated Weavers and Victoria Carpets are two such brands.

A brand with an exceptional heritage is Victoria, founded in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, in 1895. Since then it has continued to grow, and Victoria is now one of Britain’s most respected luxury carpet brands.

As the regal name might suggest, Victoria Carpets has supplied the Royal Household for some years and was awarded the prestigious and much-coveted Royal Warrant in 2013.

Victoria supplies high-end independent retailers and we are proud to have them on board.

They craft many different types of tufted carpets from wool, man-made fibres and combination materials to give them a wide flexibility of style and price points. The carpets are highly resistant with a lifetime “no shading” guarantee.

Victoria’s product range encompasses twists, loops, velvets and are in fact one of the few manufacturers that still make traditional woven Wilton Carpets too.

Their ranges feature heavily in our core collection of carpets due to the quality and selection of carpet types they offer. Being a UK manufacturer their delivery timescales for stock are also superb.

Victoria’s City Style range is one of our top selling wool twists amongst all our wool twist collections (40,50, 60 oz weights).

Liberty and First Impressions are two key super soft ranges from Victoria Carpets that we stock.

Our favourite loop ranges are Sisal Weave Style and Habberley and if a velvet is your choice of carpet, then Royal Victoria Velvet is a stunning collection. Do you recall the beautiful red carpet at the marriage of Prince William and Catherine Middleton in 2011? That was a Royal Victoria Velvet carpet.

We’re confident you will love these exquisite carpets, and we’re glad to be able to display them in our showrooms.

Associated Weavers

Originally from Belgium, Associated Weavers carpets have grown across Europe and are now one of the biggest names in the carpet market. Often recognised for their butterfly logo they specialise in tufted broadloom carpet in a huge range of colours and textures, and as such have become one of our key suppliers.

We love their meticulous attention to detail that gives an unrivalled quality, and they are dedicated to what they do and are always looking to improve and innovate. A good example of that is their Stainaway brand, designed for homes with children or pets or areas of high traffic. The Stainguard and Stainshield options as part of the Stainaway brand are built to last and to maintain their shape even under ‘pressure’ from lots of use.

Our hugely popular Stainshield Autumn Heathers and Stainguard Comfort fall into these categories.

Invictus is a soft carpet with invincible performance for anywhere in the house with a lovely TOG rating of 1.8 and a 20-year stain warranty – it’s even bleach-cleanable!

An innovative favourite is the iSense collection. Associated Weavers’ were the pioneers of the super soft carpet trend with their iSense brand. The collection is made from polyamide – nylon – fibres. Feeling soft doesn’t mean that it’s lightweight, though, and the iSense is a top-performing range of carpets that works well in bedrooms, living rooms or any other area of the home.

Associated Weavers and Victoria Carpets are confident in their products, and customer service and quality products are important to us, so we’re glad to be able to offer our customers these exceptional carpets.
